There is something about you

that catches my eye

no matter what you do

I don't understand why.

I find myself hanging on

to each word you speak

and after you're gone

I continually seek.

I am lost without your presence

I'm just half and not whole

you have become my very essence

and have taken full control.

There is something about you

that draws me to your side

where I run gladly to

with my arms open wide.
