One Look

A love poem in my own style.

I took one look in your deep blue eyes

and now I'm completely lost

navigating without a map

uncertain of which direction

will lead me where I need to go

for I only know that I am lost in you

and I pray I never get found.

and now I'm totally drowning

sinking into those tumultuous depths

that draw me deeper and deeper

pulling me down in the undertow

for I only know that I am drowning in you

and I pray I never emerge from your depths.
