Making Plans

A love poem

Late night chats

making plans

getting to know each other

as well as we can.

The longer we are together

the less it will do

being separated sweetheart

not being with you.

So we sit and we discuss

arrange for you to come

but it seems an eternity

and even then some.

Heads bowed together

whispering love's sweetest words

sharing our hearts

making ourselves understood.

Longing for the day

you walk through the door

take me up in your arms

and maybe even more.

What you write is always what basically others are thinking- but in a way only you can write. Being away from someone you love (it seems like you're in a long distance relationship?) can always seem like a eternity. May fave part is: "Heads bowed together/whispering love's sweetest words" because it bring to mind a very pleasant image.
