What I Offer You

A poem about unconditional love

I don't have much to give

in the way the world offers you

no riches, wealth or fame

just a heart that is so true.

I am not perfect, svelte or suave

nor beautiful or fine

but everything that I do have

I give you what is mine.

Eyes that see you for who you are

which is a perfect ten to me

ears that hear your voice ring out

in perfect harmony.

A heart that is so full of love

it can't contain it all

for when I met you sweetheart

I really took a fall.

I offer up to you my love

that is unconditional it's true

no matter what ever happens

I will always and forever love you.

This is very sweet. I would like to think the people since we are mortal can offer unconditional love however, the book entitled the three different types of love states that we as humans can't do that because we are say "If" or "because" and the only uncondtional love came from our Lord. There is a song by THE LATE Karen Carpenter entitled love me that way I am. It tells how she wishes that her husband wishes that he could love her the way she was but he could not. One the day she was to be buried was the very day she her divorce was to come through. He thew his wedding ring into her casket in anger because he did not die her ex husband but her widower. Lucie

I like this very much I like how the heroine of this poem is honestly baring her soul to her mate, to offer him the option to let her see him, his most inner self and her willingness to accept him regardless of his faults, and promising that even if things go awry he still will have a place in her heart. I truly enjoyed reading this I too believe in unconditional love that will last.
