A Love Poem

Have ever the stars shone brighter

than they have this lovely night?

Have ever the fireflies lit the skies

more luminescent with their light?

Have ever two hearts beaten 

any more in synchronized tune?

Has ever a woman been happier

proposed to underneath lover's moon?

Has ever a man ever offered more 

than you have to me?

Has ever a couple been ready

to begin a journey into their eternity?
