The Playboy.

The Playboy.

A Poem by Ti

I am enchanted, locked by your gaze,
You've captured me, right in your cage,
What will you do, now that you have me?
Kiss me? Hold me? Or will you ignore me?
Adore me? Love me? Or will you forget me?

I can tell your a devilish playboy wanting attention,
Women with no shame coming towards you,
You take them all one by one,
Like simple stepping stones as life goes by,
I am not as bold as them, I am too shy.

But how much longer can I resist?
That gaze of yours, those beautiful brown eyes, I just cannot miss.
Everywhere I go, I see you, wanting to try a kiss,
But I feel like I need to keep this secret feeling of mine kept within.
How much I want to cast aside all of those women that fall to your feet,
To make it be me, with you showing a face of surprising defeat.

But oh no, you simply gaze at me,
As if your too afraid to come near,
And maybe, you even desire me from afar,
Like me, I am too scared to come near.

Very intriguing write, this is. I like the way you pull the reader in with words of intensity. The narrator clearly expresses fear and labels herself well as an observer from afar. Thank you for sharing. Enjoyed the read.
