Orville

Orville doesn't speak very much,

In fact, he doesn't speak at all,

For Orville doesn't have the power of speech,

He grunts, moans, and makes loud noises,

In an effort that twists his face,

And makes of it something gruesome.

The people who speak, looked at Orville,

And were not without some alarm,

At the suggestion he made of himself.

They thought him cruel perhaps, maybe evil,

And were somewhat anxious in his company.

But more was yet to come as civilizations grew,

Orville represented a real threat, a menace,

People had nightmares in which they screamed,

A little girl said she heard Orville killed a rabbit.

Soon a rumour of such force spread among people,

The theologians studied it and said it the devil,

The academics said it was a case of bad grammar,

The scientists looked at it long and hard,

And finally named Orville, panthera leo, a lion.

Naturally everyone thought he was a brave animal,

Because everybody else was afraid of him.

So leo decided one fine day that he'll be a lion,

Why not, nobody else would play with him.

wow...what is in that head of yours? I'll admit...the pic threw me off. It's a fun read...but a little obnoxious. I like the analogies...it's a lion in sheep's clothing perhaps?

People who speak well don't trust those that can't. In that, they also fear their own passions that lies unexpressed. We ought to go back and train our passions in terms of their responses to speech. Too many people take that for granted.
