Black Ops

It was an older uniform. He had served as colonel
In the British Royal Regiment in Malacca, a Brit state
In a previous century. The present Malay administration
In Malacca, placed his uniform in the museum.
In front of it, in a showcase, was the colonel's sabre.
Below it was the inscription, ' Don't ask me for it,
Take it from me!' An older time certainly, when
The manly arts, occupied the attention of many
Young men and curiously, did not escape the attention of
The youthful interests of the young ladies.
A drone in Yemen took out an individual, whose
Father had named him after an old gate in Damascus.
The missile was on target and the car flew several feet
In the air, before landing in a wall of flames.
What Kuklinski implied about his life in the new world,
A mission or purpose no matter how undivine, serves
To further the cause of life's growing aspirations.
What the mother in Rome might say, is the work of the lion
That she raised to clear off the weak and sick from the herd.
That man comes to view with his growing knowledge of self,
And the boldness it takes to understand life's course.
Its like the meaning in the nursery, ' I am the Sheikh of Araby,'
It comes back to embolden our view. Always been that.
