Why I Believe

Why I Believe

We concern ourselves whether what we believe

Is also something we influence and support.

And where we identify that point from whence we do,

We need to ask ourselves, are we also that point?

A thought that we take is based on a premise,

A premise is based on the epistemology of the physical,

Where that activity is founded on the domain of matter,

Such as a nation, the world and then, the universe.

There's also the human condition, the home and family,

Each a fit description of domain that defines a set activity.

Hence the great societal labor to cultivate a study,

Be it scientific or human insight. But where the universe

Can't fit into a laboratory, we rely on human insight,

With the right rigors of conduct that ensures objectivity,

Where such an insight is engaged in the living and is stuff

For later validation by the fastidious rules of science.

A human then in a domain forms a thought with which,

He contributes to a belief that he holds as true,

Where that human is a part of the domain experience.

Such is the domain and such is the epistemology,

Such being then, my premise in this song about belief.

It is a thought that I have today.

In a rare exception or be it an extraordinary situation, your father of the old school, may have experienced himself as the very domain himself. How will the man balance domain with epistemology? That would be a tough act to follow.
