Who is That?

Who is That?

A Poem by Dayran

In the affair between a man and a woman,
What it takes to consummate the relationship,
Are a great many things in the individual nature.
These things are not toys, though it may only be handled,
With the right play and excitation in the relationship.
Why did god create something this complex?
That may only be discovered by the lovers themselves,
But suffice to say, that it's us, mind, body and heart,
In the relations, that responds to the touch of pleasure,
Where that pleasure goes deep into oneself,
And we find ourselves asking, ' Who is that?'
Are we therefore also in the relations to know?
One another, and ourselves and to relate to the other,
As a friend and companion till the end of our lives.
And after that? Shall I look for you in the stars?
Or in the way birds cackle and fight to be near you?
Is this how we planned to live our lives in eternity?

Does love between two people last an eternity or do we take different bodies to meet each other over and over again? Are they all the same person? You're quite right, I guess we do want to know in some way. But you realize that everytime we come to know, it moves on to someone else.
