The Instruments of the World

The Instruments of the World

A Poem by Dayran

In the search for knowledge and understanding,
We.....we....what do you call it....right....right...,
This is better without the dragon.....sorry....what?
Oh.....okay....In the search for knowledge, we,
Apply ourselves to the review of the epistemology,
That is....pass me the whiskey.....these are good cigars!
The epistemology of our knowledge draws from the past,
It is a construct of centuries of our living and practices,
How does Bidayah say that ?….you got to....no...no,
Yeah....the world is viewed with the instruments of the world,
Meaning, you have to first understand what exists,
Before you attempt to change it....change takes place,
In stability. You can't view everything in a state of change,
That would be the....a....life of one person, no social,
Probably lived on a mountaintop somewhere, eating...,
Eating....olives. Your grandma....no ….don't mention,
Her name after dark....found Athens because she....she...,
Gave the olive plant to Athens....no....I forgot her name,
So....what was I saying?....actually its easier to talk to you,
Instead of your grandma....how do you end this thing,
Why can't you kill everybody like the old days?
Why sing a song....sorry?...its the piles....you need a Lebanese,
I mean....its a suppository made in Lebanon...I forgot the name.

You getting better hanging out with the boys....less vitriol....but I hope you are not going to start another war like the Mahabaratha. Try a slice of ripe mango for the piles.

Great point about olives. But mother in Antioch did great with wheat.
