Gone to Marble

Gone to Marble

A Poem by Dayran

Okay...this isn't easy, so I'll appreciate some focus,

And don't interrupt me until I'm finished...what's that?

I said no interruptions!....Now where was I...Oh yeah,

Marble....Michaelangelo....he worked with marble over there,

Then life moved around, came here and set up the clubs.

A club is....what's that...yeah...yeah....I know that,

A club....a club....that's a temple that you go to worship,

What...I'm not using any foul words!!!....just shut up grandma.

.....Right, so on account of worshipping marble/stone sculptures,

The folks around here are able to relate to people that way,

As objects...what? .....I said objects!....sheeesh! Science!

Pissheads!!!....Yeah okay....where was I....yeah okay...,

It's not....its not....schizophrenia....a double personality,

Its an experience of opposites, mind and body....Aristotle,

What did Aristotle say?....its coming....yeah...that's it,

A healthy mind in a healthy body...the Olympian ideal,

I think we are all getting there these days, that's the one,

What?....I didn't forget it....its there....I said marble....shut up...!

A teenage fantasy supported by the grandpa comes into life in adulthood. An Olympian ideal indeed. Professionally done.
