Everest

Everest

A Poem by Dayran
"

The cloning experience

"

The first to peak above the waters of creation,

Called Olympus, Mount Meru in the literatures,

A creative concept, lost sometimes and rediscovered,

What a Krishna thought he was standing on,

Or a Dion in the representation of the Parthenon.

In the production of film makers it appeared as Devil's Peak,

Assembled in the living room of the householder,

Representing a bizarre encounter with new minds,

To reconstruct the individual's relations that he never knew,

Of his source, origins and the creation of life.

A hut today in the shadows of the Himalayas,

Which constructs the same experience as legends,

The way the man Siva found it in the 8th century,

A literal account of life's beginnings and as man,

To account and recount his experience of himself.

Today a man scales the pinnacles of power in career,

Where the company's office is in the skyscraper in town,

A beam of light that descends on the experience,

Which creates his point of reference in his mind to all,

A coincidence sometimes the way it turns out exactly true.

Our history is dotted with points resembling Everest point,

The temple on the mount, Nubian, Indus, Hwang Po, Rome

In our minds, in the original experience of Olympus and Meru,

Where the mind views itself in the circles of life's endeavors,

He knows himself, he knows the world, the universe, he knows.

The calm and treacherous beauty of Everest is captured in this piece, man's desire to challenge and kill himself will never end

A beautiful, incredible mountain ~ even in it's dangerous captivating heights. Mysterious, how something so huge has such an impact on Earth and why so many feel the need to venture to it's peak. Nicely done, Sri. Enjoyed this write.
