The melody remains the sameA Poem by DayranA different dance
A new generation raises a new dance, Tip, tap, tippity, toe...Tip, tap, tippity toe, Swirls around, breaks from the corner, Dashes to the center stage, its arms spread out, Soon its the whole stage, its demeanor free. Draws the on-the-spot dancers to fill in, Taking a chance, a different twist at the waist, Up and down, to and fro, the rhythms glide and flow, Then somebody leaps through the air with legs stretched, And embraces the air, alone but comfortably toned, A new dance, its terrifying, invigorating, numbing, While the melody still remains the same.
