Catch AllA Poem by DayranThe one in the many and the many in the one
Tall grasses lie on the sides of the tracks, The path of the traveller in between, None to say how he crawls, walks then run, Only he was groomed for fun and intelligence.
But he takes a tumble and falls one day, On both sides they comfort him and remedy, But only he will know why and how the fault, Smiles on both sides but a nay a ' sorry ' .
He lives through rain, sun, snow and floods, Believes himself a part of the life and life itself, Soon he is trimming the grasses on the sides, Looks dashing and moves adroitly with a gait.
Everything was fine until she came along, The way the roads took over from the railroad, He was no longer on tracks and moved with will, Sometimes to the hilltops, as the fancy took him.
The grasses outgrew the tracks and covered them, He couldn't see them, the day he had that collision, This time he had to know for sure, whose mistake, So he designed a play and re-enacted his role.
Hamlet came and went as did D.H.Lawrence, The rainbow over the peaks spoke of life's birth, When the earth's crust first started to cool, So how did he believe he began his life in the seas?
Salmon still swim upriver to their place of spawning, If he had that wrong, what else did he engender? One has to know the place of one's birth, Then maybe hell get it all right for once.
