ProfundityA Poem by DayranOf a Dove that's Lonesome
A man of peace who seeks the true, Tired of promises, the mistakes of others, From the father, he learns reliance on mother From mother, he intuits the humility of impulses, Alone, he receives no support from god or man, Perceives a country beautiful and a world glorious, Fights for goodness, yet it's goodness roped in, Reaches out to the source, almost to touch it, Yet unlike clay in the hands, it doesn't mould to his will. Where the willing of the world doesn't come, He must go to it, like he's done before, in his dreams. For a love that's true, needs to be preserved, But more than that, it needs to be understood. Unless it become the hysterical laughter of whimsical mind, Untested by sunlight, creating an avoidance of the conscious, Perceives the father, mother's double, but fears the issue. For when all is known, beyond the boundary of his nose, He will know with reason, his soul's secrets in his heart. © 2011 DayranReviews
