Pleasure PrincipleA Poem by DayranA Freudian Sequel
You come from the distant horizons, A stranger to the mind in the inception, But you brought a curious joy of touch. The self, deprived in its sensation of duality, Craved for that pleasure and beatitude. You brought us to it, by your demeanor, From the boorish to the celebrated response. How we entwined together, bodies like sponge, That Winthrop, the horse, took to nurturing. Nature, in all its glory sprang forth in love, An adoration of itself in times to come. The Adonai rises from its cradle in the body, Itself, the illuminati in the ego, for the mind, The way the mind likes to perceive itself, With the voices of the mists in the forests. Hail to thee, joy and pleasure of the body, Thou art then and now the true mind of man.
