Living Poetry

A Poem by Dayran
"

Getting to hard-to- reach places.

"

Getting along with a community of poets,

Coming into contact with a canvas of the world,

Where life may be different, perceptions new,

Where one encounters true life, throbbing in passion,

Away from the journalistic tabloids of crisises and pain,

One's joy at real contact with others is such a gain.

More than what I knew, the world come alive anew,

Like a casual society of acquaintances and friends,

To add to one's experiences, in a way unique and grand,

As I come to understand them, the more I know myself,

Writers, of joys unsurpassed, tragedies deftly communed,

Of universes, the world and lives lived in contemplation,

I don't get it anywhere else. Opened my mind and heart,

To see beyond the boundary of my fence. Symbols and words,

That tell of lives lived, that I share with, and come to know.

I have received, as much as I gave. For these, we are grateful.

I am experiencing this to the full, joyous write! The internet does not compensate well for friends, but for a community of art, maybe, just maybe.
