The Bile Swamp

The Bile Swamp

A Poem by Dayran
"

Rage in lechery

"

Serpens plots its way, in a windy staircase

All around it, a wondrous rainbow haze.

Bile, that choking acid of fumes and boars

Snakes it's way through life's abhorent chores.

Leads the clean up crew for the mess sustained.

Long a sufferer of man's disdain, for things stained,

Like a father who helps the kid cover his tracks,

The friend who sidetracked to overcome the cracks.

Green its fury, envious might of the discarded

Sad and in despair, when it cannot do more repair.

A friend in need when shame is felt,

A hero to the lie, spin and clandestine pet.

May turn the world over, fears none nor regrets,

For its friend, the man who frets.

Convulsed with care and confused without end,

Bile, art thou friend, man or thine own pretend?

This looks like my swimming pool in the backyard. jk
The color of green, invokes so many emotions. You write of them all. Envy, bile.......envy, shame! This did not give me warm fuzzy feelings, but it made a statement that one can't turn away from and forget. Well penned!
