An intention, ambition and achievement

 

 

 

 

 

As a child I believed that everyone is basically good.

This is not unfamiliar with a lot of children in my generation.

I gave excuses, made promises, apologized and changed,

All in the name of the fact that everyone's will is guided

By, a force, love, knowledge, kindness that serves us all.

I would laugh when someone implied something shadowy,

Whether such notions are in others or in me.

I made friends with someone recently who reminded me of this.

Rather than create an avoidance, I wanted to embrace it again,

And I think I have. That makes me the man of empty gestures,

The one that everybody loves but will not respect or love

For their intention, precision and effectiveness, expressed their own way.

I confess, I am Bill, my own innocent hero.

But there's something only Bill and I know

It is better to be a fool of virtue, than of vice

I hope you do too.
