Pygmalion's Pie

Pygmalion's Pie

A Poem by Dayran
"

The father of 60 children

"

He lived in the darkest Africa

No light, save from that of love.

He married 22 women and was chief,

Father and leader to 60 children.

But the one that he loved most

Was the white rock, near the river,

Looked like a maiden, demurre,

The form of face and body,

Like none he had ever seen.

It wasn't great, nor wealthy or beautiful

But had one quality he was most swooned.

It was forlorn and plainly suggestive

Of what a woman is to be.

In that ..... it was its truest beauty.

A great write. I love the description of the rock. It's simple but very elegant at the same time. The writing has a nice flow to it as well. Good job.

This piece drives the mind deep into one's views of the female gender and it's idealistic qualities and traits. I like the poem, not only for it's smooth flow, but it's word choices and topic as well.

Great Ink!
