Echoes of Our DesiresA Poem by DayranLove's Journeys
Vayu, the wind, heard the trees echoing, The roots are our stay As the fruits are our say But still we cannot do our pollinating Without wind or water falling. Give us our day, here on earth Our own free will to carry the seed And to impregnate the ovaries as we need. To enjoin it with pleasure Would bring it to quite a desire So we'll want to again, and forever. Should we walk to do it better Lay down on the grasses to be tender. Grasp the ovary's body in arms and excite her. Oh! how we wish for things simply as wonder Here today and in the morrow, thrown asunder. The wind told this to his four sisters, Who from the four corners did come to consider, And for millions of years did they attempt But the fishes had a certain contempt, While the birds jumped from nests to nests And the lizards crawled away after just one fest. But in demurring for love, milk flowed With the young ones, forming within like a glow. But, amor, was not there in the feeling, So in desperation, they found themselves willing To bring their playfulness to life's biding. Lapsed into a truth as magical as their creation In the heart of the being, as elation. Now doting on itself, as it would another As if heart to earth was joyous binder Singing of love's will, to go on, forever. © 2011 Dayran |
