In a WordA Poem by DayranA Word & its Worth
Its curious how we create the word For having and have not, meaning and not. Drawing water from a well, how swell! Eating well! So well, that I could yell! A man with liberal views is a liberal Speed is to a car, racing down the visceral. A mountain's quite a climb, when we climb it Gravity is only serious where Newton deigned to sit. Shadows are also phantoms, when we are suspicious Minds that mind, when the passions are envious. Empty the vessel, then empty is selfless Good is good for the man that wishes. A man's word is his bond, we said A handshake did an agreement make. Spontaneity, a part of our candid tweaks Me and you, had very little gray betwixt. Oh, how I miss the English language! 'Twas the spell that inspired the age. To live free in the kingdom of freedom A person needs to be a little lonesome. Then to love is unto love, a riddle To have and still seek it with a fiddle. Fair and fairs are instruments of its game A rose, in another language, is still the same. © 2011 Dayran |
