Diana's Hunt

Diana's Hunt

A Screenplay by Dayran
"

A long desperate search.

"

Diana peers from behind some rocks. Nyx is some distance away behind the trees.  Both are armed with arrows and know how to use it.

Down below, there's a gathering of mountain men. They are sitting around a campfire trading stories. Their voices carry into the still of the night. Jones the householder, addresses everyone.

Jones :  So how would we define love? Is it the trials we put ourselves through?

Narci :  Not quite sir. Do we love so that we are made to suffer? Love consists in appreciating the qualities of oneself.

Kul :  But to say you love yourself is without meaning. You are the lover and therefore the passion need be another.

Vela :  Well said brother! Love is as between two people and a representation of their physical bodies in   the act of love.

Teros : But love exists always. The world was built in adoration of the human and everywhere it seeks     to give its gift of love.

Boar :  What I do is love, live and eventually die. You can't separate one from another.

Echo :  I agree. To separate love is to create a one man stage. Love is a part of life, we live it one way       or another.

Old Man :  I wish I could say it is one thing. You are all right or you must all be wrong. Only the rocks     here know of love because they speak not of love yet it is the  rock that holds the world together.

Just then, they hear a sound and everybody gets up to look at Nyx, as she releases an arrow that hurtles like a shiny spear through the dark of the night. Nobody moves as no one feels themselves wrong with regards to their declaration of love.

The arrow finds its mark and a spray of sparks bursts into the air.  Nyx rises to leave. Jones calls out.

Jones :  But you must tell us why?

Nyx turns to look at Diana and says :  I fired my arrow into your fire of life's impulses and you'll not know peace again until you return to discovering what love is.

An old legend from a modern point-of-view. You will leave the reader hanging here if you don't continue. And that would be rude. Well done my friend. :)

When you say Nix, are you talking about Nix the water spirit from German mythology or Nyx the goddess of night in Greek mythology?
Is Diana Artemis?
That was interesting and romantical
