Physical EvidenceA Story by DayranProofHerodotus' remark … ' In peace sons bury their fathers. In war fathers bury their sons ' … is a sharp comment … that refers to the double edged propensities of love. For in being born … the son takes away from the father … the father's infancy and childhood … and positions him as the … workhorse … that works the fields of family responsibility.
Its
a relationship that is mutually exclusive … and the son is all of the son. Its
an important criteria for a young man growing up … to experience the stability
of the rock of creation … which the father provides … to the flailing emotions
of the little boy … who depends on every word … sound … and nuance of remark …
for his assurances in growing up. And a father always ensures he gives to his
son … what his father didn't give him.
Its
the predominant passion in the home with kids … and governs the father's
temperament the moment he sets foot past the front door. And so … its a great help
to move the kid outdoors … to the park … beach … stadium … the fishing trip …
hunting … and so forth … to loosen the nails of confinement … that binds the
relationship … in just one way. In the activity that we undertake … it
transfers the attention of the child from the thought based experience … to
physical evidence.
Its
a game … between father and son … in which there are only two pillars to the
relationship … that is sometimes viewed as one. Its the inordinate sense of the
father saying … ' I created your life … you are simply renting it.' It sounds
far fetched … but beyond the mind and heart of the father … in the mind of the creative
energies that he brings to forebear … is
the self reflected glory of creation … that was issued from the loins of the
father.
Its
the same experience a man encounters in his relations with God … in the house
of the world that we live in. Some activity helps … that which we call our own
actions … and is identified strongly with the passions of the individual … as
his own. Yet in confronting the creator … with our own will on the issues … we
are supplicant to his over riding will. Between father and son … in the home …
the issue of the son's will … is evidenced by his own volition … work and his
family raised in a home that he built or purchased.
The
solution to this insurmountable hill of arguments … about individual rights and
achievement of the son … may be best addressed … in the advice given by the
Christ. ' I and the father are one.' Its a victory of thought that pursued
every bell and gong of creation … to perceive and affirm … the equanimity of
the creation principle … in regards to a thinking man with heart. But it would
help if we could also affirm its physical evidence.
Such
a nature of evidence … may be cultivated in respect of these times … with the
physical body of man … and the proof that we have subscribed to about our
experiences in the life. It is relative … and it must therefore … be accepted
in the form that is possible … with the instruments that are available.
Hereafter … in the march of times … in respect of new bodies … and new
experiences … we may rework the principle to reflect … the oneness … with
greater accuracy.
But
at any one time … we are the father in heaven … in the variations that the meaning
provides … to different aspects of creation … in the world's experience. And to
bring that into application … we may need to subscribe to an icon … an artifact
… or a reference to our bodies as temple … that serves as physical evidence of
that belief and faith. And in the daily propitiation of that object … we create
the affirmation in our physical proximity … of its evidence.
However
all such representations … cannot pass the test of rigorous physical fact … and
a man is obliged to apply to the principles of atheistism … which does not categorically
deny God … but says that the person is guided by their own learning. Its a
thesis of the individual man … and such a philosophy as regards the inalienable
rights of the man … who founds his own faith … would certainly stand the test
of our definitions of free will.
At
this time … we are co-dependent with the common will of the community … as
regards what we believe … as representation of our oneness with God. And quite
often … its in losing that connection … that we begin to rail about the decay
in society … and the fact that we have lost our faith on account of it. The
alternative is to undertake social reform … or to found a new basis of faith …
based on our thought and physical evidence … and bring that to the failing
experience of society's faith.
In
all cases … it becomes clear that … we will have to apply a part of mind … with
passions … and to accept a child-like quality of … mixing jelly with peanut
butter … in our sandwich of faith. And in doing so … we create a unique and
unalienable presence … of the child in us … that resides in parts unknown … and
yet is the basis for much of what we perceive and do. Its the adoration of the
magi … the Adonais … and the accompanying mother experience. Its also a great bane
to the father … who is obliged to uphold the
perceived sense physical evidence. Its like skipping rope and singing …
' Hail Mary ' … at the same time.
There
is in our ambitions … an even greater calling … especially in the relations
between a father and son. Its not a suggestion of icon or artifact … but to
guide the son … to draw his own conclusions … regarding the epistemology of
understanding … and to understand the view … that the father engages for
himself. And when the son discovers it … he may also say … ' I and the father
are one ' … in his own way. For now. © 2015 Dayran |
