A Scertain Lisp

Bond ... James Bond

I first heard the lisp from Sean Connery … in the Bond movies. But it wasn't until … my interest on voice sounds grew … that I returned to take a look at it again. The fact is … I was speaking with a lisp for a while … and it helped me take a close look at the phenomenon … its origin and effects in the human body. And the fact that it was an imitation of Sean helped … the enthusiasm that surrounded the review.

 

Its simply a speech impediment … that arises from the inability of the tongue to articulate words well … displaying that condition especially at the tip of the tongue. Its origin is observed to be from a state of bliss … that is a passion factor … in the mind … which combines with mind in regard to an elation about the person. Here is a very polite person … whose discipline … has gone a long way to managing his frivolity … and any self aggrandizement of the ego. So severe is his determination … in the matter … and the will that he brings to it … that it has evolved into a physical mutation in the body … and alters his speech patterns.

 

We wonder about why it occurs in the human body. Is it normal? Was it designed that way? And the answer to both these inquiries appears to be a resounding ' Yes.' Its the way … the passion mind … and reason mind … relate to each other … first as pals … then adversaries … and then back together again as pals. And its done with some delicate sense of managing their relations with kid gloves … so as to preserve the continuity of their experience in life.

 

The fact that man began with a passion mind … historically is an established fact. However … since the Neolithic period at 8,000 bc … he's began developing the rudimentary tools for engaging the mind. Closer to this age … beginning with the civilizing experience … we have grown to fine tune our past efforts … and as we get more certain … about our direction for the mind's development … we bring a greater certainty … to the job of breaking down the past … and build on the new.

 

The effect of the relationship … has been to slowly and gradually … limit the working of the passion mind … by getting it to withdraw its overt sense of right from the reason mind. This causes the passion mind … to squeeze itself … like clothes being hand rinsed … and minimizes the effect of the passions … in the human experience. It was the basis of the human pathology for a long time … and had formed … its effects on the muscles and tissues … firmly. Hence in handling the passion mind … we are wary of its effect on human physique and health.

 

At specific points in the exercise … man unravels the passions in the rinse … to review and articulate his experience … with reason. He attempts to make sense of what has taken place in the past … to limit and apply such pressures on the passion experience. Such an unraveling takes place with a consistency … regarding their place in our past experiences … that the individual finds it … the perfect guide to handling the situation … orderly … and in keeping with the volition of the passion. A matter of letting the passions free to show the way.

 

My experience with it … and the many contortions … enforcements … suppressions … instances of breaking free … convinced me … that it forms an accurate record of the timeline of its development in man's history … and I used the stuff on the web to guide me … as I journeyed through the course. How much we are able to gain from the experience … depends on how much we bring to it … as organization … learning … and the regular continuity of the exercise.

 

The most insidious part of the experience … deals with our impatience for results … that can instantly make a difference to our career … social life … and general achievement. The folks in the past … whose lives are the content of the experience of the passion mind … bring some guide to us … but it bears little relevance to our lives today … lived in the environment of a busy urban experience. The individual can make the difference … and must bring himself to be equal to any situation.

 

James Bond … as the quintessential man of action … working for Her Majesty's Secret Service … brought the hilarious demonstration of the individual … engaging the forces of evil … as in the anima aspects … and restore the order of the current world experience. It promotes the sense of integration into society … and prevents the awkward sense of withdrawal when the going gets tough. And any hint of the sociopath … in our attitudes receives the assuage that … we are making the attempt to integrate.

 

But beyond the teen sensation of the Bond relation to the phenomenon … we thereafter advance the exercise … to something more real. And in this context … we sometimes encounter the lives of Saints … who create a special connection with us … and help us … in advancing the understanding to issues of life and creation. Starting as a novice … I found to my surprise … an incredible and orderly sense of the experience … and it came to reveal itself in the daily phenomenon … I was encountering at the mall … market … or the grocer. It renewed my faith in society.

 

The passions in rinse … receive some treatment in Kundalini studies … of the Indic … that touts it as serpent or women power. The literature refers to it as a coiled serpent at the base of the spine … that rises … and engages the energy centers or cakras … in the body … to enact a response to our needs. However … I've yet to find literature on the subject that deals with it … in common sense terms … and in keeping with the human view … in these times. And that is something … man can do more to advance the study … for future generations.
