The Masks of Bestiality

Awaken the Dragon

A long … long … time ago … when the earth … was swallowed by the great python … and the sons of the blind King … were imprisoning the mind of man … there rose among the many … a young boy … who had golden hair like the rays of the sun … eyes as blue as the sky … and a body complexion as fair as the finest clay on earth. He alone stood against the swarming hordes of the python … and brought his wit … to slay the mighty beast.

 

Or so the stories go … with regards our barbaric past … when the passions ruled the mind … and man fought free … to gain his own thoughts and perspective on issues. It was a time of the beast … and we identified with the beast … that we thought aligned with man … in the cause of the just … and true … for the growth of the human specie. Such beast that we came to engage was a mix of the qualities … of the cow … lion … eagle and fish. … and we shaped that into a mythical beast … that we called the dragon.

 

The legends refer to the dragon … as having the heart of the human … meaning that such a genus … that mixed with the qualities of the dragon … was in the heart and passions of man .. and it guided him in his endeavors. It was a brutal time … of Kings … Warlords … and  men who professed a perceived faith in the ancient Gods … that guided their minds. Foremost among these beliefs … is the way … one side was brought into influence by the sun … and the other side by the silvery rays of the moon.

 

Who's to say who was right and who was wrong. Or what they fought for … but there they were … slashing at what appeared wrong to them … in the way they defined their well being and hopes for the future. But always … in front of each army … bearing the standards of the King … was an indication of the progenic nature of the realm … that professed the true nature of its … SPOR … the sperm and egg … as the only viable and true account of the nature of the being.

 

Darwin would have fallen from his chair with amusement … to see the evolutionary zeal of nature … battle it out among the sons of man. And today … as we come to bury our past … under the principles of universal suffrage … we find that we have internalized the battle … what the Muslim … refers to as Jihad. And in internalizing the unsolved inquiries into the issues of right and wrong of our past … we view the discoveries of science … understand our will … the social organization of our societies … and tests our resolve  … with what we continue to believe as true.

 

What we have come to know of life … and its genus qualities … for the cultivation of the being … is simply categorized … as the fish … the reptile … the mammal … and the bird.  Put together in a mask of bestiality … the entire progeny of life may be summed up as having the head of a bird … a body that's a cow on one side and a reptile on the other … ending in a tail of the fish. This is the representation of the full possibilities of life in the world … and all else … that are aligned with specific forces … in their time …  hope for a quick victory … while staying related to the center.

 

I call it the … Bafflin … after the obvious confounding nature of its mythical being.  And I believe … all our passions … brought into a summary of its principle values … represents such a creature.  It was a contortion to the early mind of the civilizing human nature … and as we struggled to grasp its meaning in the mind … we came to such a split of its qualities that it may have spawned the four major races of man … that we see in the world today.

 

Such a Bafflin … stores itself in the passions … as the collective evolutionary record of the man … and works to advance the development of the specie. It is a most curious mix of both … knowing and not knowing … in one place. In what has since become clear as man's orientation to an understanding of its phenomenon … we have engaged games … right and wrong … provocation … justice … the true … and all possible manner of ideals … to set us in the knowing … away from the not knowing.

 

Its been the defining sense of human society … our social manners … decorums … standards … values … and common aims. Its as much the gentlemen's code of conduct as it is the scoundrel's … savvy.  And quite often its been a glorious mix of the two … leading to what we call … ' the man of the world ' … or more traditionally as … ' the man of all seasons.' Its been the very essence of … the definition of man … in the male decorum … bringing itself to affirm its vital nature … in the hallowed halls of friendship.

 

 We are discovering in these times … a new development … in the Bafflin. Two friends … engaged in the game of … knowing and not knowing … come to a fork in the road … where the situation calls for a defining sense of who is who. It is the new Gordian's knot … and is not given to simply .. being allocated on the basis of a conqueror's sword. Both friends will have to heal one another … in the friendship … and thereafter … set about proving to each other their roles in the phenomenon. The outcome determines who is in the knowing … and who is the romantic.

 

This is no doubt the growing sense in same sex relations in the world today … and it sets a new social agenda … for the gentleman in society. In the grand scheme of things … this is what we perhaps come to discover. That its not about winning alone … but how to forge a friendship that is mutually supportive … according to our natures. Its the discovery that … friendship … is founded on the bedrock of the evolutionary zeal. It would certainly bring a new meaning to the term … kindred spirit.
