The New MysticA Story by DayranHot dog and ice creamIts not a subject that I am fond about. As far as I can tell … it has never brought itself to closer examination … and to understand its content of experience. What we do see however … is the experiences of mystics … who walk barefoot on burning coal … have spikes pierce their bodies … or suffer immense torment to their bodies … in their practices for spiritual enlightenment. It also expresses itself in the perceived sense of miracles … healing of the sick … and to experience the gift of visions in their life.
It appears to me strange however … that we separate the qualities of mysticism … from the notions of everyday life … as if to say one is ordinary and the other is extraordinary. In my experience … it has meant the defining difference between man and the Gods. A person keen on the humanity experience certainly undergoes considerable discipline … in the training of the mind for reason and logic. In the same way … I'm certain a man inclined to mysticism … finds in his impulses … the driving force for development of that condition.
In a general sense … children … women … and men of the cloth display a quality in their personality … that is hard to pin down. Its hard to say … how they came to know of things … where do they receive their intimations regarding their knowing of issues. Its an area of interest … that has received a fair amount of practice in our societies … but I figure the possibilities for their growth and extension … has greater potential in the lives of people … especially women in times to come.
I used to think that the reproductive elements of the human experience … such as the Ulysses* and egg cell … create a unusual contact with the mind of the individual … that constitutes in some way … our experience of the unconscious. The Indics refer to a part of the mind … called the cittas … that's reported to be a source of memories … of the soul … from the days when it began its journey of creation from the stars. I certainly don't have any evidence of it … and my insights on the issue … are in that way … not something I've been able to validate … with the prevailing scientific perspectives.
However … in applying the possibility of that … with the material put out by the Jews regarding their faith … I was brought to a curious understanding of their reports of Zion. In reviewing the Jewish practice … other documents by the Judeo-Christian traditions … and Indic references to the issue … I am of the view that … Zion … the Kingdom of Heaven … and Brindavanam … refer to the human body. It represents an early view by man … into the organic … chemical … nerve … muscle … aspect of the body's workings … by the reproductive units … the Ulysses and the egg-cell. Its an expression of its intrinsic intelligence.
It is and continues to be the primary basis … of the visions experienced by the body … as conveyed to the mind of the individual … where he creates perceptions and affirms his personality in a certain way. Its the way the human body … worked … and in viewing some of the wall carvings in the Egyptian and Indic experience … we notice something appearing like lizards on feet … in the midst of people … creating guides in their life. In some recent experiences around the world … people report seeing an alien-like creature … who ' abducts ' them … and does experiments with them.
The Ulysses as the blueprint of life … relies on an ally … who relates to him … as the unborn life … who accompanies man in his evolutionary zeal. I believe the Christian ethic refers to this as the … 'Holy Ghost.' He has a … crab-like personality … as a person who is shielded from any physical contact of his tissues with the world environment … and lives within the armor of the shell. The Indics engaged the same theme to portray the … Vishnu experience … as the creature in a conch.
On the lighter side … the movie … Predator featured a crab-like creature … who was a strong adversary to man. He is differentiated from the human experience as the glory seeker … the man out to prove his mettle with all comers … and prove the superiority of his genes. In turn man is portrayed as a law abiding person … has compassion for others … works in a team … but will respond to aggression … if challenged. Its the stuff of life that we play with … for entertainment.
And this … influence of Cancer in the constellations … is the object of mysticism cultivated by the man of the cloth … or the swamy … to make clear to man … the workings of the faith principle … and how that is also related to reason in man. The Indic engagement of the conch … rather than the crab … is indicative of the non-physical nature of the Indic motif. In a woman … this is expected to be the same principle that she identifies with … father … brother … and then husband. The special significance of the women's handling … reveals itself as love and devotion … and produces a powerful impact on the integrity of the unborn crustacea-like life.
In Western legends … Venus is portrayed as emerging from a clam … on the beach … and I expect that its another variation of the same theme … about the crab-man. In the human experience … he is the base of the passions … and functions in a way as to walk … sideways … indicating thought … not physical action. However if he is pushed into association with the physical experience … the outcome can be quite chaotic.
A common experience … we come across in the world's experience … is the sight of novices and amateurs … taking on some of the greatest forces in the universe … with no preparation … or insight into the issues. It makes me cringe … in the expectation of a disaster waiting for the person. But my guides tell me that's how anybody learns. I've been wanting to make a difference … and prevent unnecessary injuries … or foolish acts of wanton self destructiveness. Its an ambition I continue to nurture in some way.
My associate … persuades me that he might be keen … to start an initiative … and work with me on a program of lifelong learning … in society. We're talking about it … and expect to create a relations on the issue … where we understand each other clearly on what we want to do. I think he's ready … but he'll have to maintain a continuous learning attitude as we progress on the program. I'm quite confident we might do it better than most folks out there today .. pitching self awareness programs.
