Spring Break

Sexuality Unbound

It has all the makings of a mating season … in the plains of the Serengeti in Africa. Its spring … and the pollen in the air … causes a dizziness in the wildebeest … and stimulates their sexual drives … to procreate. Elsewhere … in something similar takes place … when young boys and girls … shed their inhibitions … and take to some R&R … in a festival like atmosphere … that is reminiscent of Sadie Hawkins day from some years ago.

 

Its an experience of the human body … that's drawn from the stars … and is reflected in the very pits of the prostate … driving the mind … to act on its impulses. It certainly is a case of the subtle … overwhelming the physical muscles of the individual … as if their will is held by someone else. In the past … our societies brought a severe decorum to the issue … and converted the experience into a docile experience … of the child … that transformed the experience … into a dream like fantasy of love and romance.

 

In that … chivalry came to rule the minds of men … and the knights of old … championed the cause … or expectations of their ladies … for the influence that the ladies brought to issues. However as we take the bull by the horns … in these times … a new champion emerges … to defend the honor of women … in the throes of the dizzy pollen … regarding their virtue. Such men bring a unique new occupation into our societies … for the pursuit of the dream … considered passe' before … but is today receiving a new impetus.

 

I seem to recall experiencing something similar … in my teen years. I thought I had re-oriented it into a Casanova-like attitude … that seemed popular with the girls … but stopped short of spring break. It became a style … a manner of conduct … speech … that accentuated on the sexy … and brought the touch of the Adonais to the people I encountered. Strangely I seemed to have blocked out the sad memory of the denial of the personality until … Shivam Murari … a poet here in WC … brought it out in his poem on Draupadi.

 

Its a story of chivalry from the Mahabarata … when the two warring sides strategized against each other … for an advantage. Certainly the psychic manipulations … at the subtle level … are equally important … in any war … that's going to undertake a trial by battle … on issues. In that … the Kaurava side choose to humiliate the lady of inspiration … of the heroes of the Pandava side … and choose as their blade of instrument … to discredit the mind of the woman … as regards her pollen based tendencies.

 

And the defense of it … is the high issue in these times … where we are leaving behind the promises of romance and chivalry … and engaging the issues in direct action … in our personal lives.  It puts us in touch with the sexual impulse … and it reminds us of its powerful impact on the libido … ego … and our success in achieving a productive lifestyle. More than that … it points to the impact it creates on the mind … as it challenges us to leave behind our dreams … and work for its realization.

 

As we move on that … we quickly come to realize the critical issues of … physical capability … the conscious eye of witness … and the light of the sun … that reveals all. The Greek legend of Ulysses provides an admirable summary of the final achievement … in the great hero's defense of his inspiration of the subtle … in the lady Penelope. He shot an arrow through the eyes of 9 axe-heads … and convinced his detractors … that he is not to be messed with.

In the interpretation of such a message … of victory … in uniting the physical with the subtle … I can only think of the 9 planets of the solar system. In life … that would mean being challenged by 9 issues … or 9 men … on a trial of the will … to prove a person's manhood. In the arena of contention … is the physical prowess of the man … tested under 9 different conditions … that ultimately proves worthiness.

 

In contention are the … Mercurial mind of the adolescent … the Venusian heart of his feminine side … the Earthy view of his reality … the Martian prowess of his physique … the Jupiterian health of his ego … the Saturnian thoroughness of mind … the Neptunian communicative flow … Uranian delight in nature … and the Plutonian will of the man of action. All rotating in rhythm … in relation to the sun. Its the new survivor series … and you are not going to be seeing it on TV.

 

There were no knights in the American experience … but there is the Ironman contest … and muscle beach … and a person gets the feeling sometimes that they are in some ways … in gladiator training for the final contest. It is after all the new wave … and they are certainly less restricted by handicaps of the past. On the plains of the Serengeti … the wildebeest would be … head butting for the right to choose their mates.

 

And what of the Lady of inspiration? I expect she will be applying herself to a new standard of excellence. Certainly the standards are rising … in the globalization of the world's experience. It will no doubt address the pollen driven qualities of the mind … in a way … as to turn it into a new inspiration for society. As the physical girds itself in expectation of its achievements … the subtle must rise to meet it. And in doing so … it would expect to conquer the spring break fever … and refine it into a daily achievement.
