Bath Water

Bath Water

A Story by Dayran

Baby in the bath

"

I guess we'll let it drain after use.  But bath water forms … such an incredible … representation of the feelings of the body that … the early bards … and painters … made a big deal of … the lady in her bath … doing her toiletry … and so forth. Indic legends followed the same theme … and I'm certain … that the use of the reference to … bath water … would form a suitable analogy … for that part of the human feelings … that we drain away … after use … but on account of fondness … feels like its soaked into the tissues.

I'm engaging something new in this write … that applies specifically … to illustrating how we create a view or perception … with regards to issues. I am therefore … justifying my choice of bath water … as a substitute for feelings … that we subsequently discard … in our experiences. The choice of term … at the beginning of this article … creates quite an influence … on the complete article. I hope thereby to engage the reader's full participation … in the way I bring myself to express … the issues here.

This is the principle of the axiom … which is an assumption we create … into anything that is new to our experiences. Thereafter … we engage a second principle in communication … which is referred to … in psychology as … ' an association of ideas.'   The engagement of the term ' bath water ' … would naturally lead to expressions … such as toweling off … drain off … dumping on murky … and in some cases … as in this article … transparency. A matter of washing dirty linen … in public … with gusto.

How did I pick gusto? A gust of wind … in nature ...and its impact on speech … produces the effect of loudness and a feel of certainty. In a man today … we apply the same principle of wind … as gusto in the human experience … and that is quite the way … the man manages his breath … for maximum effect … both for speech and thought. A mere gust may not help with thought. Gusto in thought … leads to good communication.

Then there's beau geste. That's defined as … a gracious gesture without  meaning … what we call these days as … courtesy. A beau … comes into a lady's companionship … and may sometimes get into her bath water. And we see from here … that the passage is entering into a point … of managing the bath water … in such a way that it prevents attachment. On occasion … it helps to dump on someone … that we may have got tired off.

A bath water … is also used to refer to folks … who are not flying straight … but are simply rolling their eyes for effect. Its a melee of passions … with no organization … and is left to float freely without being supervised. There are people who refer to that as liberty … as much as a lily pond … with its murky waters … is suggestive of free flow. The waters in lily ponds … have an unusual murkiness … and we wonder about the content of minerals floating in it. Its apparently the way the ground under the pond … responds to the roots of the lily … that merely float in the water.

Lily pond comes into useful application … when dealing with natives … and folks from the pastoral parts. Despite its murkiness … it produces the most delightful … peach colors on the flowers … that conveys the experience of a perfect complexion … and uniformity … in the midst of a mud pond. And right here … we find that we have brought into moderation … an object of wild beauty … that's like an orchid … but lacks fragrance. Any other way of handling that … would injure the moderator.

A person in life … who starts with the term bath water … to refer to feelings … and is determined to maintain the expression … finds by an association of terms and experiences … in a life that would lead him down a road … that stays clearly in the middle … of the mind and the passions. It has a long implication to the life … that sometimes finds him … in the middle of an ocean … in a dead calm … where no wind is blowing. The man is thereafter obliged under those circumstances … to apply his gusto.

And in such a situation … where the inquiry rises … to question the practical nature of ' gusto ' … in relation to getting the yacht moving … he is obliged to respond with his concern for what needs to move. Even on a yacht … its the man who moves.  And in much the same way … our exposure to weather reports … produce a view of nature … that's expressed in four ways … rainy … windy … cloudy … and sunny. It is but with gusto … that we continue to admire the beauty of nature in the weather … as its changing moods.

The Orientals have a practice of … floating a burning candle on a float down the river … in an annual celebration of the moon festival. That's not too different from the lilies on the pond. By a change of perspective … the colors on the lilies are like a flame … floating in the lily pond. The suggestion is to burn the dross of disorder … and turn the murkiness into clarity of thought.  In other applications … it reminds us of a lightning strike … on a tree in the forest … that causes a blaze … and renews life in the woods.

A moon in the sky … when viewed from the shore … doesn't actually dance on the waves of the ocean … but with a bit of gusto … a teen beach party can turn into an intoxicated … view of life that combines the laws of science … with our love for story telling. We maintain a separation between the two … for the obvious stability … we rely upon … to manage ourselves over the long haul. Some simple habits to moderate the way we do that … preserves life's quality … and reminds us that man … and his gusto … are also a part of life.
