The Reins of Repentance

The Reins of Repentance

A Story by Dayran

Knowledge ... not forgiveness

"

Its human ... to care … and to worry. As a society … we are encouraged to nurture such impulses … that finds its expression in acts … that contribute to society … and the human cause.  A man who invest in the setting up of a carnival … believes in the human needs for some entertainment … to move their bodies on the carousel … to play at ringing the bottles … and to watch some magic shows. Its a vocation … taken up by some … to preserve the qualities in others.

But where the man … comes to witness wanton acts of recklessness … and attributes that to society's belief in magic … he may come to feel some responsibility for it himself. And if for some reason … he should get it into his head … that he is the cause of such behavior … it can cause a deep and prolonged depression … that will rob him of any further participation … in social activity. It causes a withdrawal … and he seeks to atone for his part in the events.

Nature provides for a display of vanity … beauty … desire for comfort … and security. As a social behavior … it translates into aggregate trends … that expresses itself … in investments … and consumption expenditures. In a market of 300 million consumers … that is a powerful force in the world. It creates employment … generates income … and leads to extended investments in related products … and improvements in production efficiency.

The aggregate behavior of Americans in the world today …  contributes to the export earnings of numerous economies around the world. Foreign investments … in the national economies of countries … creates employment and a way of life.  The impact of such a wave of influence … touches on the social development of people ...and changes the mind set. In some cases … it has taken the local provincial views of society … and raised it to an awareness of the world's influence on their societies.

That brings about an equal impact on the economies of the countries with high consumption. The social impact … such as the gay lifestyle … or … ' love yourself ' attitude … draws itself from its perceived role in the world … and its gratification of its identities. It ought to receive more attention … by these countries … as a social influence … and make possible such programs … to minimize the impact. At stake is our ability … to sustain the economic co-dependency … the factors contributing to it … and the social implications of such a situation. At congressional level … the American people have always brought the right responses to the issues … and that has maintained the balance before.

The responses by foreign elements … who decry such an influence on their societies … may bring considerable harm … to countries with high consumption. There's a tendency in some circles … to view it as … natural and inevitable. Its the play of forces … social and economic … arising from social systems of behavior and personality … and its viewed as too large a force … to be managed. We equate it with our perceptions of nature … and throw up our arms … at any suggestion to manage a balance.

In economic behavior … an over supply of goods causes prices to fall … a rise in raw material costs can lead to higher prices. A situation of excess liquidity in the economy … leads to leaps in demand … and inflation is bound to follow. As government administration … the nation undertakes economic programs … to mop up excess liquidity … or provide incentives for investments. Its in the nature of man … to bring a volition to such issues … and to found new ways of handling the situation.

The man from the carnival … views his own personal involvement in issues … and the gargantuan size of society and the world … in attempting to bring a control … to the issues illustrated in his moral nature. Inevitably … he's going to feel that its too big for him to manage … and he's gonna quit trying. And that … is the critical aspect of our self awareness and involvement in issues. To manage that better … we have to take ourselves away from the current matters … and view the source of the issues … in our individual natures.

Our original natures … as regards individual behavior and personality … had no self awareness of its impact … on the aggregate natures of the world. However … in returning to the start of our impulses today … we bring an informed view of the effect of such impulses … and their continued relevance in the world society. Its here that we … bring an up-date to its inspired notions … and its enthusiasm to care. Anything less … simply encourages us into a self defense on issues … and to adopt an issue of indifference.

An act of repentance … is not necessarily founded on merely the good and the bad. Nor does it have to attract a response of acrimony to its quality of personality. On closer examination … we find that … our circumstances have changed … but we have not brought our volition … to change its originally occurring expectations … that was founded on an entirely different set of conditions … previously existing.

Perhaps thats whats new in the world today … and the impact we experience on our societies and economies. Man is bringing a greater informed manner … to the origin of his expectations and impulses ... and guides them with a will … as to its effect on the world scene. In doing so … we realize we hold the reins … to our own survival … in a system that is founded … on the participation of every individual will in its working.

My own sense of repentance at some of my actions … received a new treatment … with knowledge and understanding of the issues. It led to a change in the way … I treated my impulses … whether or not that was to give it encouragement … or to steer it in other directions … away from notions that have grown archaic.  A man who cares … must step forward to present his perceptions. Otherwise … the forces that continue to rely on an uninformed expectation of impulses … will rule the world .. and someday cause the whole world to go into repentance.
