The Child of Ages

The Child of Ages

Its possible we may have come … too close to a view of the experience of child … in the family and society. The Indics represented the epitome of child as … baby Krishna … who formed the basis … for all subsequent portrayals of the Krishna concept … in Indic literature. But its not a child the way … we perceive a child today. Baby Krishna represented the concept of the ' living creature '… possibly as tree … reptile …  insect … bird … fish …  anima … man … and perhaps the ultimate being.

In that … its possible to view the life of progeny … by examining the zeal of life … in the creation process. However in the creation of homo sapien … and his subsequent evolution into modern man today …  it may have engaged the mind of the human … for the continued progression of its work. And in the engagement of such a relation … it has come to cultivate … the woman … as the companion of man.

Its a relationship that is as mysterious as it is a promise of life's fulfillment. And in reviewing his relations with the woman … a man comes to see … life … in the way that we commonly relate life to newborn babies. But beyond this … as a man journeys into the pathless winds … he does so first as a servant of God … and in a subsequent attempt … as a man of knowledge. Surprisingly … we find that everyone is familiar with some aspect of this … and is not without his own plans about it.

The Indics referred to the woman … as maya … or encompassing the entire experience of ' living creature ' … in her being … and exalted her position to that of Goddess. The woman on the other hand awaits the perfect guide … for her realization of such qualities in herself … and quite often … engages love … either from her male lover … or dreams of love … to discover herself. Its here that she becomes quite embroiled with the child … especially in her role as mother … to her children.

As a society … we have in some way … redirected the woman's impulses … in directions that serve the cause of society … whether as Goddess … Queen … the woman behind the man … or as mother in the home. In all … we today experience a world society … that is defined in large part by the role of women … in the civil natures … beauty … knowledge … approvals of right and wrong … and the passions. But in pursuing the idea into an extrapolation of possibilities … Indic man eventually … created the view that God is the sole  arbitrator of our beliefs..

In comparison … science has undertaken a gradual … step by step … achievement of the knowledge … inherent in nature … by a verifiable study of the phenomenon we encounter … and to bring it to the advancement of the child experience within … for its continued progression of evolution. Its possible that science … may someday succeed in identifying the ' living creature ' as the ultimate being of creation … not a God idea … that we engage in the intermission.

In the meantime … the opportunities are wide open for the human male … in his realization of his nature as human … where such an identification … would depend on the criteria … we establish as  the humanities father (*2) of the times. Such an individual … would separate from his identity … the experience of God … woman … and the future specie. In completing such a task … he becomes suitable to guide the woman … into realizing her identity as … the ' living creature ' related to child.

As far as I'm aware … such an achievement has not been undertaken in the world … and would represent a new experience of women … in the times ahead. It makes me curious to think … that … at this time … the process to create such an initiative … for the new woman … may have already begun. However I'm unclear about the details that such a process would entail … and continue to observe … all new experiences … with great interest.

My intimations on the issue … inform me that … the reference to ' woman ' … in its wide range of child identities and personalities at this time … may engage the male … the female … a child … an anima … or even a tree. It is the basis … of the concept of ' living creature ' … in touch with the magic of maya. What I think is one criteria … that may be possible … in the identification of such a personality in the feminine … is the Sankhya method … of engaging the passions … for understanding.

In a general application of the issues … Yoga engages physical activity … and should therefore be viewed as related to the cultivation of the human personality … in the male. Sankhya … relates to the passions … thoughts … and bodily identification … with the instruments of the universe … in its achievement of its goal. The Vasudeva himself … in 500 bc … was presumed to practice Sankhya … in association with the feminine energies.

In the union of Yoga and Sankhya … the man and the woman … are expected to come to a common cognizance of each other … expressed separately … as the individual … and the social. This may be extended beyond the human criteria … to refer to world … and the universe. A person should not mistake … the subtlety of the new woman … for anything other than the greatest insight into life and the passions. It gives me great pleasure to say … that she has been my master … in the refining aspect of my studies … for the past 10 years.

In retrospect … one gets the impression that all gender relations today … are variations of this idea … and are in some ways working for its perfection. Hopefully … that would counsel … a moderation in the affairs of love … so as to remain aware of the issues … but to avoid attachment … on account of obsessive love fantasies. As the French would like to say … ' Men and women are different … and vive la difference.'
