The Alpha MaleA Story by DayranDefining the MaleAlpha waves … as one category of brainwaves … range in frequency from 8 - 12 hz. It is reported to engage overall mental cordination … calmness … alertness … mind / body cordination and learning. It is referred to as the ' power of now ' … assisting the individual to relate to the physical environment. Beyond that … science makes no further comment on the findings … leaving it to human initiatives … to add to it on the basis of living experience.
Such initiatives are plentiful … on the web … from corporations … who offer their services … for stimulating brain activity … with wave particles. In other instances … the practice of meditation … is reported to have the effect of … improving the alpha based activity … and these studies are well documented.
Its an area of tremendous interest … and may be indicative of the future … of man and society. But as I was reading through the material … and comparing it with my notes … both on my personal experiences … and Indic literature … I stumbled upon an area … that has had tremendous interest for me. This pertains to the experience of the male … by the woman.
In the practice of self realization … it is inevitable that a person would … encounter qualities of the male and female in their individual experience. How we discern the difference and organize ourselves … in relation to our roles in society … has occupied our attention … more so in recent years. Indic literature organized the experience as Sivan / Sakthi*1 … which represents a union of the two qualities … but it takes some doing to get there.
I recall an incident … early into the experience of my inquiries … when I was bogged down one day by a contortion of the mind … and was unable … to make any headway. I had laid down on the bed … to get a rest … when I perceived an apparition of the most frightful countenance … standing next to my bed … who was pulling on my arm for me to get up. She was female in form … and resembled the appearance of Kali … the fierce Goddess … that archetype theory … refers to as the female animus.
In lying down … the brain produces Theta or Delta waves … at a frequency lower than Alpha … and it carries the individual experience … into dreams … and what science refers to as ' dreamless sleep.' It causes the Alpha waves to anesthetize … and the individual momentarily loses … their grip on reality. The experience persuaded me to avoid sleeping too much … but the image of the apparition stayed in my mind.
Its my impression that Alpha waves … emanate from the concussed state of the mind … and create an experience of mental activity … that Indics have recorded as divine. I figure they did that because they couldn't account for its source or will. Thereafter they brought themselves to adore it … create iconic images … and offer their devotion to it with praises. The Indic legends of Vasudeva … Krishna … and Siva … are expected to be objects of such practices. It points to the convoluted nature of the issue ... and has to be followed up ... by learning ... that converts it to knowledge.
A closer examination of the Alpha wave properties … in relation to other brain waves … is very revealing. In the record of five categories of brain waves … Alpha waves occupy a middle position … due to their frequency. Gamma and Beta are above 12 hz … and Theta … Delta are below 8 hz. Hence the Alpha activity of a person … is observed to be entirely average … in society … and supposes a physical activity … that is calm and stable. That suggests to me that … the Alpha male referred to is a female physical experience.
Further into the observation of my insights … I found that … the Alpha male … relies on a child relation in his/her physical activity. This … I assumed … is the Theta wave … that is defined by science as a condition of ' extreme relaxation ' … ' the senses are withdrawn from the external world and focused on signals originating from within.' ' It is the gateway to learning and memory.' In Indic literature … Ganesha as the elephant headed … child God … is the object of devotion as … the gateway to learning and memory.
What all this means … is simply that the perfect male is not a man … but a woman … i.e. … he accommodates himself in the host of the female form ... and relates to the male by intimation. However in social experiences … the physical male bias … is of such a disposition that it cannot accept that as natural fact … preferring instead to support … the physical male form … as the only male there is. No doubt … that is a natural bias … and it appears to me … as a society … we have come to create an acceptance for that.
The Bible says … a person has to be born again to enter the kingdom of God … and certainly in the position of the child … in the exercise of Theta waves … a man does see that perfection. And I figure … we do … on those special occasions … bring ourselves … to exalt the experience of the female … as the source of much that is of great value to our lives. On these occasions … we salute them … and look to the future … when we can truly relate as equals.
