Rati's Dream

Rati's Dream

A Stunning Beauty

"

Rati means ' beauty ' … in the Indic lexicon. Not just any beauty … but a stunner … someone who takes your breath away … and you'll swear that she's the one you want to spent the rest of eternity with. The Indic sampradaya … or collection of qualities … eventually cooked up an ideal … in this last 500 years … that has suddenly come to represent the American experience. As is obvious … its a mess … and those with some exposure to the issues … have been sieving through it … to make sense of it.

It doesn't reveal itself easily … unlike the days of the puranas … when it simply involved a straight visionary dream. This has been complicated … and due to the way it engages the sexual energies … nobody is prepared to speak of it openly … or know … how to express it. They fell in love with rock and roll … the fashions … TV programs … hamburgers … and jeans … and they wonder how.

A 7-11 opens up … in a retail area … and suddenly property prices shoot up. The other outlets start to repaint and refurbish their premises … and eventually the entire neighborhood feels like its had a face lift. Its an assurance that the dream is real in some way … in the minds of people here … and in reviewing the experience … folks come to find its trail leading to the perception of the American dream.

So … maybe there's something to it after all … is the prevalent attitude these days … but the surreptitious sense that … the Americans grabbed someone's girlfriend from around here … continues to nag the view. Generally Asians bring their problems to the vast store of their artistic cultures … and in full view of the solar ray ( uc )*1 … recultivate their dreams … like a Vulcan … at the forge.

Unlike the King Agamemnon … who organized a military expedition … against Troy … we are confident that our … own self-possessiveness on the issue is probably misplaced. But it takes a while to get that straight … and not without some honest-to-goodness attitudes … taking the place of grandiose dreams … that would never have seen the light of day anyway. Its a long way from Thessaly … and the Greek Goddesses of Dion's theater*2 … appear to have retired peacefully.

There's something new about the Rati in these times. She's hip … smart … practical … and gives the impression of being easy to know. Unlike the pedestal hugging figure of her sister from Thessaly … she's trim and apparently … is not shy about working out regularly. It makes for a great impact in these times … with regards to seeing-to-believe attitudes … that brings a new dimension to the experience of physical reality … away from the dreams … we subscribed to.

For the average Indic … it means a new experience … that takes him out of the shell … and tosses him into a global experience … that is … if he wants to pursue the chase. And along the way … to create a new appreciation for beauty … its impact on the mind … and its basis as the element … that creates the achievement of intelligence … to perceive love's representation of the perfection of life.

To suffer the rejection of an Athena … by a Vulcan … is no small thing. It destroys the perceived sense of planning in the mind … and shocks its constitution … into the concussion of a stony and frozen state … as if lost in time. He is forced to make appeals to the powers that be … talk with them … negotiate … then perhaps storm heaven itself … before he realizes that … all is as it should be. He was simply mistaken on a past perception.

But the experience has contributed to our knowledge … of the workings of the mind. From an understanding of its anima origins … that of the genus of wolves … pythons … bulls … and apes … into a transformation as man … is indeed valuable understanding. And to relate to the components of the impulses … in the sexual drives … makes for a reliable basis … of the relations between the genders.

Indic philosophers are probably … scrambling to get their story straight … on Rati's dream … these days. The original texts on these … relied on the seer's vision and dreams … and cultivated their literature … to reflect Vishnu's dreams … on the waters of creation. Subsequent authorship attempted … to represent it in a world's context … and the account of Parthiban Kanavu ( 1942 Kalki Krishnamurthy )… Parthiban's dream … brings some up-date to the issue. But the question remains as to … what is a Vishnu?

In our present experience … it refers to the powerful dreams of the solar ray ( uc ) and its relation to the rock ( c )*1. An individual discerning the nature of their relations … may find much to feel fulfillment … regarding the issues. Within its vast chambers … lies a connection between man and the Gods … man and the creative forces. It awaits his discovery.
