A Subliminal Erection

"

There's no price for youth … its priceless … and cannot be bought and sold like a commodity. However … with special soaps … creams … exercises … and vitamins … we have not let that stop us in our endeavor to appear young and energetic in our affairs. It therefore makes for a curious experience in relations … when the male … in his day old stubble and tobacco breath … extolls the virtues of common sense … while the female … finishes trying out the new facial … and figures our common experience of being together … is anything but common.

A home unites many people in a common experience of living … and quite often … sets a common purpose and meaning to what we do. But the advocacy of the individual right to life and beliefs … does not make of a common ground … a basis of common views and beliefs. It is here that youth comes in … to help cultivate a bridge of understanding between the sexes … in such a way as to draw upon … the institutions represented in such a relation.

Our laws and social ethics paints a specific nature of family institution … that is the fundamental basis of relations between man and woman. No doubt we are fully aware of this … and affirm that in our daily communication … with select words … spoken in a select tone … from a countenance that complies … and a body language whose motion is like the baton of a conductor … or the magic wand of the sorcerer.

Our practice of social ethics comes to our aid … to endorse the words as caring … the tone as polite … the countenance as personality and the body language as acquiescence. In tribal societies … where a lack of social meaning … paints everything the same color … there's an almost eagle-like watchfulness … on the stimulus and responses of the natives in the social environment. We are therefore grateful for the advances of civilization … in the way that it brings to us … a trust and acceptance of the … bridge of youth … almost childlike in its simplicity … that guides us in our relations.

But there are dangers. An erect prick … in the act of copulation … destroys the bridge between the genders … and in a non-expressive way … participates and communicates a pleasure between two bodies … that otherwise cannot be undertaken merely with words. And in the fashion of recent times … we see the spectacle of that erect prick … in public consciousness … displayed flagrantly with the effect of destroying the social fabric and communication … that serves as the bridge of relations between people.

In the Indic experience … they named that erect prick … Siva … the destroyer. Its application in the social context affirms to us the ageless role of sex in society … and the ways in which we have learnt to deal with it. The civil and institutional practices are certainly a big part of it … but beyond that … it engages a philosophy that I refer to as ' Flowers for the rock ' … the rock being the erect prick. The meanings attributed to this however are many.

Classical studies … both in the East and West … refer to the flower … as the yoni or c**t. That of course draws our attention to the natural inclination of nature as regards an erect prick … for reproduction. However in social application … one sees flower garlands … bracelets … the flower on the ear … and cultivating a garden around the house. This is expected to mitigate the effect … that an erect prick has … on the social infrastructure of the individual.

The practice may have extended in some places … to fashion the culture … as Hawaiian shirts … single ear-rings … tattoos … and so forth. Beyond that it transforms into a practice of music … empathy … and in some cases charity. As ' flowers for the rock ' it aims to transform the debilitating effects of the erection on the human feelings … and help re-cultivate … through habituation of the practices in our daily activities. People who view the growing sensation of the decay of social norms may take heart in such practices … and to take to it with some understanding of its remedial effects.

The same may be applied to the practices of same sex relations … where the astute sense of self identity in relations … is paramount in their communication. It is about the individual … and in the way we manage ourselves … with the awareness of the self-loving nature … of the identity of the self.

In retrospect … its curious to find that the issue of same sex relations … in the way it exploded onto the social scene … has thrown into the open … the issue of human nature … and our traditional practices. Its as if we needed to air our experience of introspection … out in public. And if anyone continues to have doubts about this … they are persuaded to rediscover for themselves … the simple truths of old wives' tales … and the melodious but bizarre chants of mendicants.
