The Girl that I Love

The Girl that I Love

A Poem by Dayran
"

An Adventure

"

The girl that I love

Never leaves my side

She's the poet's spring

Soon to unveil her sights.

Her eyes shine softly

Beams with the night moon

And in the dawn

She's the rays of the morn.

Speech like a rustling breeze

Speeding its way around the globe

Laughter that tumbles and falls

Hiding the world in her shawl.

The girl that I love

Never leaves my side

Dashes off with curioso

To skinny dip in Acapulco.

Dangles love from her eyes

And yes I'm forced to relent

Pulls virtuoso from the chronic

To listen to the Philharmonic.

And then the sudden urges

That storm so unexpectedly

Till I'm no longer flora

Running with bulls in Pamplona

The girl that I love

Never leaves my side

Denies she's a femme fatale

Teases me to build a Taj Mahal.

And all through the years

We sang of the melodies

Except when I got married

She took off with Barney.

And here in days grown old

I write of the girl I love

When we swam with the fishes

With eyes made for wishes.

The girl that I love

Never leaves my side

Says death is but a dream

And life is without sides.

A beautiful impressionistic piece. A lot of sensual imagery, as you move from Acapulco to Taj Mahal.
well done Dayran :)

That is really so nicely done..writing for the one whom you love i think its death ?? why she left ..
that is what i understood..because like she is always by your side...means her soul ? right ?

well it is well done :)
