Saving the World

The one size fits all thing

In the movie ' Matrix ' the hero saves the whole world by coming into contact with the object of the ' prime mover.' This instrument engages his mind and in a common bond of relation is able to bring a state of peace and equanimity to everyone in the world. Thereafter everyone is in a state of grace and the world is saved. This is a natural and common view in the expectations of many people … that draws on his social natures to do the right thing. But it has to be viewed in the right context.

Our experiences of individuality, hard work and the application of effort in our lives is a matter that is the sole achievement of the individual. It is the human experience of the individual self … and our laws are in that way formed to protect and preserve the individual's right to his freedom of belief and expression. It suggests the need for every individual to undertake his own individual volition for the effort that he brings to his life … in the presumption that each individual so undertaking such actions independently would still arrive at the same achievement.

In applying both views to the human condition we create the observation that they serve two separate qualities in the lives of the individual. The first is the savior of the world … which refers to the continued refinement and re-cultivation of the qualities of the passion. Our legends refer to this as the intuitiveness of the psyche … and is expected to refer to the achievement of the long evolutionary process of the world. It is related to the rocks, trees, anima and the elements in their natural propensities of the creative process.

However the individual aspect of the human experience refers to the cultivation of mind … and is based on the perception and observations of the man regarding himself and the world … and thereafter to cultivate such names, terms, identity and personality that relate to his observations. It is the essence of intelligence in life … albeit in the experience of the man. Thereafter he is obliged to bring his conceptualizations of his individual self … on the street he lives … to relate socially to the rest of the world. Our legends called this the eros experience.

Our early texts on faith and religion … and the way in which it continues to be institutionalized in the world's experience … refers to the administration of the psyche component of the human experience. It is the base of the social human experience and helps us to form such common purposes and roles that is necessary as a basic condition to the life of the society. It is an experience of affirmation of existing social practices and is in some instances viewed as the feminine outlook on the issues of life.

The male on the other hand is perceived to constantly push for something more in the nature of his personality … more than religion perhaps even God … more than women and society … in an expression that can only be termed as the innate mission of the man to come to equal anything else in creation and thereafter to serve as the family's pathfinder in the times he lives. This forms the primal seed-based motivation of any man in the world and in 5,000 years of civilization … continues to exercise itself in much the same way.

What society has yet to do is to give it a name … other than Neanderthalian, chauvinistic or simply a pig. There are a bunch of folks around the world who claim to do that … with guns, exploitation of women, willful connivances and quite often hidden in the guise of wealth and the politics of power. Which illustrates the peculiar difficulties about bringing to the male population of the world a certain recognition of their born mission in life. Certainly an outright endorsement and approval undertaken by a fascist styled government hasn't accomplished a great deal nor has the specter of long beards on long gowns improved the situation materially.

But what appears to work is the quiet contemplation of the issues in a socially responsible setting … and to manage such cultivation of the man's personality with the subtle grace of reality … in his thoughts and individual action. A man being chased by the bull of expectations creates a rapid response to the call of duty… and it serves as a fine example to others. But learning to relate to duty and understanding the role that serves in society … does more … its the man he hoped he'll be.
