Chap 14 : The Thinking ApparatusA Chapter by DayranTHINKI found it quite amazing … at a certain time in my studies … that I had to learn how to think all over. In a general sense … all thinking is on the basis of a special bias … that is already in our preferences. We guard that devotedly … and we support that devotion … by our references to anything … in the environment that helps to produce a positive outcome … by our association with it.
I was surprised to find out … that such a bias … past the usual vanity issues … is deeply rooted in an interest to learn. And that begins with the way … man reflects on what he does. The early farmers recorded the seasons … rainfall … etc. … as a basis for increasing food production. A stable life … comfort … security … leads to pride in an individual about the self. In a man that is stimulation that may be felt in the chest … where the 6th cakra … or nerve sensitivity … stores his stimulus and response … in connection with his sub /un /conscious mind.
I named the cakra with the initials FH … as an early mind of the individual … that was cultivated largely in relation to his physical and emotional needs. This may also coincide with the mind of animals … that is highly intuitive … and essentially survival oriented. In the experience of a social relation … FH may also be viewed as the ego of the individual.
From the ego … the subconscious mind picks up elements of its experience … and with some trial and error … constructs a mental scheme or pattern … that it observes in its behavior and that of the environment. In the record of such experiences … the individual eventually comes to view … his social environment … and creates such predictions … or forecasts of events that might occur. Along with that … it gives him the knowledge of products and services … he may engage in as business.
The personality of such an individual … quite often resembles a 3rd generation son of a wealthy family … who's firm with speech … but generally sticks with what he knows. His social manner appears nonchalant … cool … a straight posture … and centers his primary attention on himself … as the one who knows the real deal. Thereafter its possible to build this up with social advancement … age … and an adroit manner … that become the hallmarks of his personality.
In the event of a financial failure … near death experience … or such challenges to his personality … he experiences … what we are coming to call colloquially as a ' fall.' After the usual defenses … and excuses … he begins the second part of his development of his mind. This is the engagement of the full mind … as the brain itself … to review his past … assess his actions and beliefs … and thereafter … add to his knowledge of the environment and his self.
It ought to be clear to his perceptions … that what he has lost … is simply a passion based stimulus .. that he has relied on for his understanding. These as it appears to his mind … are the creature comforts … and the fact that … there is more to knowledge.
Our interest in this area is regarding the great academic tradition of the world … that forms the basis of our perceptions of the social and individual natures of man. The learning process in schools … and the colleges … brings to our experiences … such knowledge documented by man … beyond his experience of the simple mind in the FH position. This may be the point of contact between the mind and its qualities of light … and the passions from the FH. This may represent itself as a healthy ego … in a healthy body and mind. The possibilities for growth are enormous. Beyond the Individual's environment … he may extend his understanding to the world … in a step by step … learning process … that may be paced over the lifetime of the individual … termed as ' lifelong learning.' The passions in connection with FH … show considerable interest in its growth … and sometimes gives the impression … its the realization of a dream. © 2013 Dayran |
