Chap 7 The Lusty Boa

Having it All

"

Our perceptions of the world … from time immemorial … appears … to have been experienced in two ways … simultaneously. It is the great duality … of natures. It creates the opportunity to love another … it provides a variety of experiences … and it makes for very opposite qualities. Perhaps of special significance to this experience … is the desire … most precious … to have it all.

In a condition in which a person experiences variety … the desire to have it all … must be accompanied by an understanding of duality … particularly … in the way it expresses itself in opposites. This would be critical to the task … without which … the endeavor would fail … or be swallowed up by its pursuits … in such a way … that we are a body of opposites … bound together by necessity.

The great python was featured in legends … both in the West and the East. However the references to its relevance to life was handled with the priorities … of the times. Apollo was reported to have killed Python … and freed the passions of man to express their … own truths of their lives. In Indic legends … Vishnu slept on the serpent of time … Sesha … dreaming of the world to come. No doubt … one preceded the other … with Vishnu cultivating the Python experience to guide man … and man … in his new found self … freed himself from such a puppetry of his affairs.

To say the least … man has been struggling to regain the experience of the world and universal view … by his own hand … without going back to the vicarious nature … of the original experience. Such efforts today … may find their expression … in the feminine experiences of reproduction … and the one view of the world. However in engaging this as a framework … we may be obliged to bring to it … a textbook of the world … as a cognition that comprises many lives … societies … cultures … and individual natures.

In the brash lunge for a quick understanding … there are instances of people engaging the boa reach … to swallow up the sun. In such an experience … the boa design of knowledge … transforms itself into a dragon … that loses its grip on civil natures … and makes an all out dash for its prize. But insight into the nature of the boa scheme of perception produces many curious suggestions.

It would appear upon reflection … that the boa view … in the minds of man … may have begun with the women. The combined influence of Venus … Jupiter and Mercury … to create a dynamic will to achieve … that has fueled the unification of tribes and … the founding of nations. On the other hand … the combined efforts of Saturn … Uranus … and Mars … may be traced to the development of thought … study … and knowledge of man.

In bringing the two teams of mother and father … in an experience of duality … they create the matching serpents of Asclepius climbing the staff of life. But in the encounter … mother retains her sense of the one view … while father … chooses the adventure of understanding the world … in an experience that may well involve a rebirth. The lovers unite in the new life … and bring to the world experience … the one experience of man … as the mind of reason … and the heart of passion … and to rediscover the world … in which they live.
