The Quick Study Series : VII

Historians don't give a clear pronouncement on the political definition of the Pharaoh … other than to refer to it in archaic terms. But it appears on reflection that the Pharaoh represented the role of the first fascist … and the Egyptian dynasties … that reigned for about 3000 years … were then … the epitome of political governance … founded in fascism.

 

In reviewing the emergence of political organization of societies … a person would find their source … in the heart of fascist notions of the commonwealth … its source of authority … and its concerns regarding social welfare of the people. Royalty … theocracy … socialism and democracy … all trace their roots back to the beginnings of fascism.

 

We find the impulse to fascist ideals today in a strange place in the human constitution. It is mixed with ideals regarding representative authority … love … and a filial relation … that is founded on ideas of human oneness. This extends thereafter to the universal identity with all life … including the earth … sky … and the creative impulse.

 

However the implementation of this as a political organization … has left much to be desired. In the last hundred years … it emerged as a viable reflection of the political will of very few nations … notably Spain … Germany ... Italy and Chile … but even that was with a wobble on weak knees. In its absence … we reflect on the riveting role it played on the minds of men … particularly as it applied itself to the exercise of thought and imagination.

 

There's no division of power in fascism … the judiciary, law making and executive ... relies on a central command. But the specter of evil in fascism rose in another place … in the view that it curtailed the free thought of man … effectively denying the possibility of achieving all that is possible. We live in that privilege today … a total freedom to think all we want … but we find that … without some supervision … management … and guide on the issues … free thought is a big blob of wannabes … without a clear direction for their achievement.

 

There appears to be little doubt that every free man will return someday to his fascist roots … to give it a fair review in relation to free thought … and to create our own informed choices about its application and balance. Certainly in tribal societies … a form of fascism continues its practice … in a daily struggle of communal survival … that preserves the head of the family under any circumstance.

 

Perhaps this makes clear … the practice of self awareness in modern societies … when we have taken the bold step of engaging in its exercise ... of the histories that we encounter … power structures … wars … social ideals … racial profiling … cultures … child natures … and among others … the pursuance of a defining nature of man that will fulfill all our concerns.

 

I'm intimated to think that the last act of the fascist … is in the bull ring …  where he stands with cape and sword in hand … in confrontation with nature's mightiest fascist … the head of horns. A little obsessed perhaps … but where would a person draw the line? The African refers to it as the ' anarchy of the mind.' But the Pharaoh may have been right about somethings … particularly about coming back alive again someday.
