Knowledge and the World

I begin this narrative with some anxiety.  As an academician I am accustomed to dealing with documentation, research materials and the methodology of research. I am joined in this discipline by many men of letters from around the world. It is as much a pledge that we live with.

Research and research findings are seldom the factual nail on the cross of life's truths. It is the basis of the research. That refers specifically to the methodology, scope of the study, the data gathering process, analysis, translation of the results as findings, the lexicon in which it is expressed, the conclusions and the final proof of the theorem it began as the study.

Thereafter in the course of time it is applied to the physical environment, may be verified by other independent research and has the power to create predictions.  These criteria came to be adhered to in these last 100 years in the rigidity that we see today. Prior to that it was largely work in process to set up the principles and ensure a stability and consensus among researchers.

In such a background of the academic tradition a person today who comes to view facets of his experience as an individual in the world and universe would be obliged to pay some attention to the methodology of scientific research. This is so if he plans to communicate his ideas and thoughts to others in a social setting.

But he may without making the effort keep such truths that he believes in and trust that he won't come to be queried on them. Such persons stretch the limits of individual liberty and rights to the divinely sublime. However in a public forum that is bound to attract the attention of others.

Indic practices recommend a period of isolation and study to steady the thought process and not rely on the anima agents of motion as final. This allows the individual to create their own input based on their observations and experience in the lifetime.

One expects that this was the chaos that existed at the beginning of time when we pondered on the possibilities of creation and came to a consensus on issues. Creation would not have been possible otherwise. In coming full circle to the point we are at, we are able to take away the guesswork. The world as it has been created is out there. We simply have to come to a cognition of what it represents to us all.

Beyond World

Indic life and society today is in a state of great transformation. Their commitment to a way of life from ages back is showing itself to be entirely founded on faith and the instruments of love. These are coming to a great test of their mettle to truly understand its application to their living experiences.

They transformed their early literature into poetry and with the help of the present movie industry converted these into songs about creation and the understanding of self in the everyday life of man. Its the power of poetry. Its relies on the individual expression and relation with his perceptions of universe.

These songs came to create a powerful emotional assurance and formed the basis for aphorisms. In comparison to the methodologies of the academic tradition they revealed themselves for simply what they are … folk tales and words of wisdom verbalized into everyday application by society. This finds its way into relations between genders, is the component of love, provides a general assurance in child raising, social relations and the references to self identity.

The present movement for change drawn on the interests of advancement at this time relies on creating a basis for the visions brought by these passions into scientific study. This steers thought to studies of evolution and the understanding of the personality of the early seers who relied on human insight to create religious thought.

The schism caused by such an experience divides the individual into separate states of passion and mind with a clear sense of the visionary state of the former and the physical state of the latter. It is like two worlds that expresses itself in different modes of experience but they share a common sense of oneness in the individual. These cause curious difficulties in relationships and creates gaps between husband and wife, parents and children and in friendships.

The experience today is like stepping away from one rock and putting the foot on another in a crossing of the stream of experiences we come to encounter in our creation. It works best as a personal journey of discovery.
