An Outrageous ViewA Story by DayranThe Tools of Mysticism Series : V
Of all the curious notions a person may come across in theistic studies is the suggestion that each man is a universe. Indic studies present some insights into these but one also encounters suggested references to it in other faiths.
It would have been a lonely universe is the obvious view of such an experience. To enhance the experience each individual existence is suggested to have entered into a covenant with one another to construct a joint universe. In doing so we come to an optimization of our lives and our joys.
This sometimes explains the deeply personal sense of experience of many individuals. We encounter the obsessively possessive natures in us sometimes and wonder where the heck they came from. The impulse is to treat it as absurd and suppress it with all our will. The alternative would be to create a cognizance of it as a vast potential of possibilities and engage it as such in our passions.
We find in such a acceptance of possibilities many things. We detect qualities that have a deeper meaning. For instance, the attitude one encounters of being 'El Supremo,' or the persona who believes in Utopia or the suffering individual who figures he trusted others and has now been robbed … are each indicative of something more.
Each of these, if given the opportunity to breathe, tells us quite a story. It is man who must revise his narrow view of his insignificance and learn to take himself seriously. In these times such an acceptance is made easier by the common experiences of communities all around the world. A sampling of the social trends and literature out there makes for great comparisons.
In the final analysis of one man versus his universe one realizes that the only hindrance to rationality and acceptance is the fact that such a notion is new. But in looking back on the writings of William Blake, Hegel, Darwin, Jules Verne, H.G.Wells and the recent productions of Star Trek, Star Wars … one s tempted to think that there might be something to it. We are the world … and perhaps the universe as well.
