Two Birds and A Frenchman

Believe it or Find out yourself Series : VIII

I've come back to using a deodorant again. Been avoiding it since I retired … figuring that it was just a work thing that I swiped on for effectiveness. But I passed a young man in the mini market aisle recently and caught this

' spice and salt ' thing ( the salt is from the body perspiration ) and suddenly felt a contact with a subtle part of my own body.

Turned out its a Nivea product … goes by the label ' fresh.' I took a whiff and realized that old men don't hanker after youth, no matter how that is pronounced. Its the way they learn to apply their will at recultivating their position on issues. To do that a person would have to get past the muscular tissue that's dedicated to an older cause. It is very … very … physical.

The French named the industry for cosmetic add ons. In a cultural upbringing of gourmet foods, fashion, personal hygiene, cosmetics, heavenly odors and tieing that to a young age of growth when your muscles are still developing … this is the formula for coming up with a thoroughbred.

Elsewhere the working man today disrupts the thoroughbred breeding process. At home father, in realizing where it leads, tries to get the girls to ease up on it … Blast! Pow! Sockaroo! … And father is out for the three count. And then he realizes years later, it was simply that, interfering with mother's or the daughter's fashion sense was the first quake on the lattice of mutual co-existence.

Its a statement on how women manage the male mystic … ' we would like to be considered equals but don't make it a physical issue.' Physical darling? … You mean like the society out there, the world and the mountain of historical background that serves as basis for what we are today? ' That's right sugar, could you manage … pretty please?'

We look around where we are today and we see that vine of thorns between father and daughter everywhere and we wonder what went wrong. A man's life depends on turning genteelism into physical reality … he'll die if he didn't … slowly … with muscular entropy … before he gets to rebuilt it. At a reception a former American Secretary of State tells a French delegate ' the idea is practical and its great.' ' Yeah,' replies the delegate ' but will it also work in theory? ' … Believe it or find out yourself.
