Believe It or Find Out Yourself Series : VI

The organization of society is a necessary pre-requisite in our common pursuit for growth and happiness.  This brings the discursive conditions of divisiveness to issues of freewill, freedom, liberty, divinity and individual natures. The standard texts on Sociology provide many studies of this phenomenon in society. Its findings prove that the process of social cultivation begins with the individual and the family before it extends to the society.

At the risk of being colloquial the individual situation is stated simply as old grandpa views how the boys were raised by mother's influence and in a final analysis realizes that the boys matured into a social and relative nature. Their lives are a balance of happiness and struggle but it works.

It is a relative truth. But in digging deeper the individual encounters the theological concept of original sin. Its a double-edged sword of sin and redemption. Our religious institutions have created a specialization in this area that is not only complete but is par excellent as an instrument of knowledge with regards to the management of societies.

Its a play. And because it is, it comes under the most irascible conditions of mischief and sometimes, dare I say it, theological shenaganism. Add to that children, women, opportunist of many colors, money and the promises of vanity, it is a hotbed of rattlers, backstabbers and love's many distractors. Ultimately one realizes that it is a contrivance originating in the mind of man.

Indic literature hints at the fact that there's no reason for anyone to take to it as an achievement. Why? Its only for those who have no place else to turn to. And in taking it up the teacher advises the pupil that he'll only lose if he runs away.

It takes place in our societies all the time. In every nation, every color, creed, in multiple ways, we experience its progression as a social evolution. The theme engaged in the West is crucification. In the East its exile.

Its the life of the society. Its the way society renews itself. It is the summum bonum referred to by St. Thomas Aquinas, the door at the gates of hell by Dante and the nature of man by Vyaasa. Whether we realize it or not every one of us is a part of the play … Believe it or find out yourself.

unfortunately, i write like this, so i know what a curse it is to have all these maps spread out on the table and be thrilled at the idea of the journey, but knowing finally, as i pack my gear, that the map is not the thing, and the real mountains have to be climbed
