The Fox to the Rescue

The Fox to the Rescue

Father bear bought a stroller

Peter thought it a mover

The way father moved the car

Brought the family afar.

It was great driving it around

Past other people, cars in town

He steered it this way and that

Just like father in stetson hat.

And then it happened suddenly

Was it the nice angel friendly

Or the green dragon with tail

It made him stop and loudly wail.

Mama bear rushed into the room

Held him on her lap and crooned

Peter stared with tears in eyes dazed

' You're not father,' the giraffe brayed.

Mama bear smiled and spoke softly

Took other toys, argued gently

' You can be all these things for now

But a father, you have to grow.'

When she left he turned to father bear

He smiled, shrugged with fatherly care

' I know it all … I'm more innocent '

Peter said but came out ' ahh … moo … gen.'

Goofy gestured like soap bubbles blown

Said Wiley is a great friend to know

Peter turned to view the pillow case

The red fox raised brows and made a face.
