An Allegro of the SpiritA Story by Dayran... a narrative/poemYou have to figure that with all the resources available at our fingertips, a man can do anything he wants. In collaboration with everyone else and on the basis of consensus, we may together come to a decision about what's best. What does our heart desire? What is it that optimizes a being's experience of the creative possibilities?
Say the words my eternal friend What does desire seek in us What fancy to be.
Such inquries have always occupied a sense of our ideals. Much of these has come under a cloud recently, but where we perceive our ability to heal ourselves and discover new strengths and possibilities we rekindle in ourselves a fresh appeal to the issues.
A plan made for trial and error Then a system to be set firm No more doubts or worries.
We find a new courage to dream from having tested our own mettle. Our dreams now show themselves as having swum in the possibilities of mind. We may start to look at our bodies anew, respond to its faint subtleties and fine tune the mind to lead as a stallion. A new view of man, his capability, liberty, nature and potency.
Were your dreams tossed by stormy seas Did it raise the sunken treasures Are we back on course again.
Like friction, our resistances show themselves as work for muscles, our loves to drive them and the mind that sees in its workings, the ways of nature and man. Did we strive for objectivity in our affairs? Did we drive ourselves away from the castles of delusion and despair? To seek a new standard we created measures of mind, mapped it to understand its nature.
Your anger drained away the flood Our enmity refurbished love Solitude became paradise.
Civilization as an idea is no longer merely an ideal. As the Americans like to say ' the system works.' Mass education like mass production tossed the elitist from his perch. An equal playing field, long an ambition of the liberal is today the dream of the average man. Our ability to grasp what's possible is limited only by our commitments to existing duties. The future … shines like gems of wishes.
The mind hides in the naïve passions The passion feigns itself plays Perchance its a dramatist's whim.
We rein in the horses and bring them to water. A little rest and reflection helps to create a calm. We wonder about who we are. Man … that toothless grin from the crib that first swindled the Gods, then pouted for help while all the time he was working on a plan. Today he brings them all to the table to chart a new future. It does look promising.
Feeling sorry now We realize we protested much Time to put on the cutest smiles. © 2013 Dayran |
