Chronicles of Dreams & Wishes : VI

I wish to take a moment to place on record a particular weakness of man. It saddens me to do so because man is also our greatest dream and achievement. But I don't think he'll fuss at managing a little complaint about himself.

Its my impression that from the earliest moment in the history of creation, in the heart of the particles, the crystals and then the compounds, one impulse drove its joys and its motivation for the creation endeavor. This is the dream it had of man.

This was to be its greatest objective. Man … the fool of love and also the greatest reasoning intelligence. Man … who will brave his life, take reckless risks, fall and then emerge smiling. Man … the thieving, lying, vain, self loving b*****d. Man … because the ladies liked him. And so did the kids.

Beyond the world as we know it today, I believe there's a prospect of a new human-based specie that I'll refer to as JI-100. It is the most super intelligent, warm, caring and adventurous being. But even he would concede to the fact that man is a unique creation of the universe. I believe he'll want to preserve the human quality because in a high tech city state world of the JI-100, only man can make her laugh.

Perhaps because we know we are looked up to in such ways, man may have forsaken all the wonderful life forms that paved the way of creation to his manifestation. I'm referring to the stars, world, the rocks, trees, the anima, fish, birds, insects, the reptiles and the elements that contribute to their creation. But most of all I'm referring to the very idea that was carried in the particles and cells of creation, pulsating to the rhythm of man. Man, by his estrangement, has forgotten to say ' thank you.'

My mother, a form of a lady who guided my learning for some years spoke to me once of the creation and reproductive qualities in nature. She referred to it as if it was a person, a woman. I had asked why she raised me so high just to let me fall. ' It gives her pleasure to give,' she replied. Then my second question … ' Why is she sometimes so cruel?' The reply, ' She built the truth of what he is all around him … everywhere he turns to look … so … she gets to amuse herself sometimes.'

I had wept at the first reply then. But these days when someone expresses an amazement at a comment I make, I simply point a finger and say, ' I'm from here.'
