Chronicles of Dreams & Wishes : II

The human condition differs from any other specie, be that in the past or the future. However, while the physical sensations we experience represent an orderly growth from simple organisms to the more complex, the mind can, as it were, represent the possibilities of achievement whether or not such possibilities are represented in the physical today.

The mind does this to satisfy its own inquiries about life's possibilities. In times of change or new experiences, the passions contract a anxiety or doubt about its ability to survive and to overcome such fears it undertakes an extrapolation of the known into the future of the specie.

It communicates such perceptions to its genus and prepares it for change, whether from one life to another or to plan a path of progression of its development for the achievement of a stronger and more intelligent being.

In man's attempt to understand himself, he interprets such communication as visions and quite often assigns them to a greater power, such as God. For comparative purposes, it may be observed that the female interprets such experiences differently and assigns it to the reproductive function.

Science acknowledges its own limitations in the study of mind and confines their studies to the strictly empirical. In the gap created by such an absence, the bards, poets, authors, song writers, movie producers and housewives present a popular notion of such experiences in order to fill the need to know. Ultimately it is the individual who must filter such information coming to him and rely on a basis of norm to guide himself in his own understanding.

As a natural course, our choices for believing in something rests on a mix of facts and that which appeals to our passions as fun things to engage with splendor and expectations. It adds to the quality of life. The degree to which a society makes its choices between the two would be dependent on the level of literacy and assurance that it experiences.

The American dream is viewed as such a representation of our hopes in the world. In the achievement we come to greet today, a person ought to be clear that such is the achievement of the physical manifestation of the dream.

In much the same way, the cultural expectations we create of a heaven may well represent an achievement of peace and happiness in the interaction of societies in the world. Its something to be worked at and those who achieve it will have no doubts as to its physical content.
