Journeys of Eros : III

"

The rocky monoliths on Easter Island peer into the waters of the South Pacific as if to attests that the universe was not build with intelligence alone. It relies for its appreciation of itself on beauty, brought into our experience by the female experience. But the arts for the cultivation of the woman continues to elude many.

The attitudes of the Samoans and Maoris in the Pacific resemble the personality of an Echo who got pissed with Eros and took off, perhaps to the secluded comfort of the Pacific islands. There among the hibiscus, orchids, jasmine, roses and waterfalls she may have discovered herself again and moved away from the boisterous mannerisms of Eros into something sweet, sedate and poised.

She continues to keep many secrets but may have since diminished her own will for the organization and corporate governance of society, preferring instead the truth of her experience as reflected in the designs on her mother's collection of bone China crockery. She finds herself at rest from knowing that there is no perfect man in the world, not yet.

On occasion she travels the blue tide in her dreams and encounters the world of make belief where she runs into the young God of Anusha, forever beseeching her to be his lover. She always declines, knowing that her ambitions lie elsewhere. She awakes to hear how her husband is on the chase and very close to capturing his dreams and turning them to reality. The children cheer and look forward to doing the same.

She thinks of her first love, Eros from time to time, recalls the explorations of Captain Cook when she saw him again and now in the world of movies, facebook and her blog on the South Pacific. How the world has changed, she wonders.

The Adonais is her constant visitor these days when he has problems with others. He appeals to her to help, to create a smiling response to the exhortations of men, with a manner that's straight forward and realistic. There are those who love her for it and then there are many who hide behind false facades of happiness. She's hopeful they'll change. Eros himself has made great improvements.
