I am the mother of the world

Born with two sons at inception

One, a player of tunes as passion

The other a rabbi, a priest of words

Together we began the race of man

With the love of the priest for life

And the tunes of the passion as living

Brought up in oneness a true brethren

Chorus:

She's the mother of mankind

The body mind of the man

Arose to build the head of reason

So we may know self to understand

My sons fought each other suddenly

Their lives were torn into a division

It pained me to see them apart since

Only father can put them back hence

We rode the waves in our relations

Each claiming itself true as world

One side favoured me, the mother

The other found instead God as father

I realized it was not to be as such

A father is not also God the almighty

That task is in another hand as light

To guide us as the family we'll be

Chorus:

She's the mother of mankind

The body mind of the man

Arose to build the head of reason

So we may know self to understand

The father fell into something awful

The world shuddered at his demise

To live as the head of the dreamer

Grasping at thin air his love of life

They called him many things nasty

They called him the deceiver, devil

I thought him trickster, for surely he is

The one designer and creator of us

The priest went to see him thereafter

Cup in hand as Eros the life bearer

The father fell as the God of heaven

Seeing Eros as his former incarnation

Chorus:

She's the mother of mankind

The body mind of the man

Arose to build the head of reason

So we may know self to understand

He arose from flames like the end times

Denied himself a God and lived as man

Tossed aside all pretense and lies made

Delivered the sons of mankind from hell

He walked with his own two feet

Spoke with conviction his poetry

Broke from the bodymind his fetters

Left her to stew in her love of piety

He next thrashed his mind to straw

Withdrew himself from the light

Struck down his sloth for struggle

And raised the light of man as guide

Chorus:

She's the mother of mankind

The body mind of the man

Arose to build the head of reason

So we may know self to understand
